Libraries the place to be these holidays
Kids are again in for a great time these holidays, thanks to Rodney's full-time and volunteer librarians.
The district's seven libraries have put together a superb school holiday programme for all ages from pre-schoolers to teens. And whilst the emphasis is definitely story-times for the former and reading for the latter, there's some surprising activities too. Good examples are the "Get Crafty with Origami" programme hosted by the Wellsford Library on Thursday 5th July and "Knitting for Fun" at the same library on Thursday 12th July. The Whangaparaoa Library and Service Centre is even having hairdresser demonstrations at their Teen Expo on Tuesday July 10.
All events are free.
Further information can be obtained from libraries, or the Rodney Libraries' website http://www.rodneylibraries.govt.nz/.
