Marshall for Mayor of Nelson
It’s now official. Kerry Marshall has announced his intention to stand in the mayoralty race for Nelson and he will lead a group of candidates running under the banner of Hands Up for both the Nelson and Tasman electorates.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to lead a team of fresh candidates who are committed to use their combined skills and resources to create a better future for the Nelson Tasman region.”
“We want to bring about a change of direction that embraces community values and encourages a sustainable future, drizzled with a spirit of innovation and fun,” said Mr. Marshall.
The candidates and policies will be announced at a campaign launch at Saxton Field Sports Centre Tuesday 31 July at 6pm. A website containing candidate profiles and policies will also be launched at the same time at www.handsup.org.nz
“Kerry Marshall will bring to this election credibility and experience at all levels of local government. As a former Mayor of Tasman District and President of Local Government New Zealand, he will lead a team of highly talented individuals determined to see a better future for the Nelson region,” said Bill Dahlberg Hands Campaign Chairman.
