Director Noel Robinson says the decision by an Independent
Commission to recommend the Kapiti Coast District Council go
ahead with a District Plan Change is good news for the
community and reward for a lot of hard work.

“We think we
had a pretty good plan to start with but it’s been
considerably strengthened by some valuable input from the
Kapiti people who are passionate about their community and
take a genuine interest in its future,” Mr Robinson
said.
“I’d personally like to thank all the people who have spoken with me and shared their views and vision. People like KEA (Kapiti Environmental Action) and the aviation community have been constructive and have held the best interests of the community at heart.
“We have listened long and hard and made numerous alterations and additions to our proposal to take into account concerns over infrastructure, the surrounding environment and aviation issues.”
