Ride MAXX to get down to Rihanna and Chris Brown at Vector Arena

Aucklanders heading to Vector Arena for one of the Rihanna and Chris Brown concerts on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th of October can leave the car at home, as public transport services by the Auckland Regional Transport Authority will have them arriving near the door.

Vector Arena is approximately 10 minutes’ walk from Britomart Transport Centre and the Downtown Ferry Terminal. On Monday 27th October, concertgoers are advised that rail bus replacements will be in operation on the Western Line between Waitakere and Britomart, and on the Southern Line between Otahuhu and Britomart to allow for major construction work on development projects. The Eastern line will be operating to the usual Public Holiday timetable.  Due to the Labour weekend bus replacements to allow for important construction work on the network there will be no additional late train services following the

On Tuesday 28th of October, a regular timetable will be in operation for all buses, trains and ferries travelling to Britomart, and normal fares will apply.  Following the concert, on the Southern Line, a train will depart Britomart for Otahuhu at 11:40pm, and on the Eastern Line, a train will depart Britomart for Papakura at 11:45pm.

The Link bus, which stops on Beach Road close to Vector Arena, is a good way to get to the concert. Passengers can catch The Link from various locations around the CBD, Parnell, Newmarket, Karangahape Road and Ponsonby. The cash fare is $1.60 one way.

Concertgoers are advised to allow plenty of time to get to Vector Arena in time for the show.

Music fans heading home to the North Shore can catch an additional ferry to Devonport at 12:00am midnight on both concert nights.

Normal bus, train and ferry fares will apply.
