Mayor Penny Webster congratulates new PM
Rodney District Mayor Penny Webster has congratulated Prime Minister-designate John Key on his electoral success at the recent general election.
Mrs Webster says her Council looks forward to working with Mr Key and the new National–led administration in advancing the prospects of Rodney, the wider Auckland region and the country as a whole.
“The people of Rodney are extremely proud that New Zealand’s new Prime Minster is the local Member of Parliament for Helensville, which is in our District,” she explained.
“Rodney is one the country’s fastest growing areas and we have some unique issues in relation to services and infrastructure that Government needs to be aware of and implement polices to tackle.
“Having a Prime Minister who knows and understands local issues and the area will be of great benefit to our District,” Mrs Webster added.
