2008 Barrel Fermented Chardonnay - Sacred Hill
Media Release 06 April 2009
Sacred Hill releases the 2008 Barrel Fermented Chardonnay
The 2008 Sacred Hill Barrel Fermented Chardonnay is a classic Hawkes Bay Chardonnay with a smooth creamy texture to tempt the palate.
The Sacred Hill Barrel Fermented Chardonnay has enticing floral aromas of peach and citrus coupled with a nutty nuance. The palate is rich with peachy stone fruit characters layered with subtle oak toastiness.
The grapes for the 2008 Chardonnay originate from a Sacred Hill vineyard located in the Hawkes Bay. This vintage enjoyed a good summer with plenty of hot weather and relatively low levels of rainfall which resulted in almost perfect growing and ripening conditions.
According to chief winemaker Tony Bish this Barrel Fermented Chardonnay continues to over deliver in quality and value.
“This Chardonnay has been produced from our own estate vineyard, where all the extra love and attention has gone into producing beautiful fruit for the winemakers to enhance,” says Bish.
The 2008 Sacred Hill Barrel Fermented Chardonnay is available at wine outlets nationwide. RRP $20.90.
