Have you heard about the HEARTSTOPPER CHALLENGE?
Have you heard about the HEARTSTOPPER CHALLENGE?
The Christchurch based Linden Leaves people have put a team together, and are going to take a bath - not the kind that Linden Leaves is normally known for!!!
They are aiming to try to raise $5000 for The Heart Foundation HEART CHILDREN programme.
You can check out the site about
the event here: http://www.heartchildren.org.nz/
and
our page for pledges here:

If you will be in Christchurch on May 22nd, come support
the intrepid LINDEN LEAVES HEART CHALLENGE TEAM as they
brave a tubful of icy water (in theme dress!)
for the
Heart Stopper Challenge in Christchurch 2009 in an effort to
raise funds for Heart Children New Zealand Inc.
Twelve babies are born every week with a heart defect in New Zealand. For many of these children medical intervention is their only chance of survival. This year alone, 450 open heart surgeries will be conducted on Kiwi children. During surgery the child is cooled down in icy slush to slow the heart. That's the inspiration for this unique event.
To fundraise, teams of 4 or 5 get together, choose a dress theme (the wackier the better) & plunge into an icy pool for 5 minutes.
If you are able to make a
pledge and/or spread the word widely we would truly
appreciate the support!
Thanks so much!
Spread
the word - please forward this email to your friends and
colleagues who may be interested so that the Heart Children
New Zealand Inc really benefits from our efforts.
Thank
you for your support,
