Community groups are invited to update their info
for the new edition of Wellington’s Survival Guide - a
directory of services for people on low incomes.
The Survival Guide to Wellington – living in Wellington on a low income, is a free directory full of useful information about the services and groups supporting people on low incomes in the Wellington area.
It was created by Downtown Community Ministry to support people access the help they need. This edition is made possible by Wellington City Council funding.
Within its pages is information on accommodation, benefit advice, food banks, health centres, second hand shops, counselling and a whole lot more.
Downtown Community Ministry Events Coordinator David Cross says, “The Survival Guide has proved so popular each edition runs out. It’s the ideal thing to reach for when a social service user is seeking support.
“It’s been nearly two years since the last edition was put together and with times being particularly tough at the moment it’s one way we can help people out.”
Community groups who want to appear in the Survival Guide are invited to submit their details here or here. The last date for doing this is Wednesday 17 June.
