Bus fares are Snappered in half

Bus fares are Snappered in half

GO Wellington, Valley Flyer and Airport Flyer are all offering 50% off the cash price of a single fare when customers Snapper their bus fares this weekend.

The promotion is being held over the Bledisloe Cup weekend and whether customers are travelling to the airport or across town to the zoo, all they need to do is Snapper their bus fare and they’ll travel for half price!

Bruce Kenyon, General Manager of GO Wellington, says the promotion is a great way to get people on the buses over a busy weekend in Wellington. “With the Bledisloe Cup on this weekend, Wellington will be humming. We want to encourage people to take the buses so that they can avoid the traffic and parking problems that inevitably arise when big events are held in the Capital.”

Matthew Lear, General Manager of Valley Flyer, agrees and adds that the promotion will allow new customers to experience the flexibility and ease of using Snapper cards. "By Snappering their bus fares, customers simply need to tag on at the start of their journey and tag off at the end and Snapper will automatically calculate their discounted bus fare,” says Mr. Lear.

“This weekend, with the Bledisloe Cup on, Wellington will be busy and new customers will really notice how much faster and more efficient Snapper will make their bus travel.”

The promotion runs from 5am Saturday, 19 September until 10pm Sunday, 20 September. To find out more, visit www.gowellingtonbus.co.nz or www.valleyflyer.co.nz .
