Travel by train to the Air New Zealand Cup for free

Auckland continue their quest in the Air New Zealand Cup this weekend, as they take on Southland at Eden Park. The match kicks-off on Saturday 3 October at 2.35pm, and fans that are going to the game can take the train there and back for free, simply by showing their pre-purchased game ticket or Eden Park membership card.

Free travel is valid on all lines to Kingsland station, a short walk from Eden Park from 11.35am onwards, and following the game free travel applies until the close of service. Additional train services will be running in order to take rugby fans to and from the game.

Please remember, free travel only applies to those who show a valid match ticket or Eden Park membership card.

A number of regular bus services also travel on routes via Eden Park and normal fares apply on these services.

Regular services (Normal fares from all stops apply)

• Regular Dominion Road services (routes 25- and 26-) run approximately every 10 minutes from the St James stop on Queen Street.

• Regular bus routes 23- and 24- run approximately every 15 minutes from Victoria Street West in the CBD to Sandringham Road by Eden Park.

• Regular New North Rd services (routes 21- and 22-) run approximately every 15 minutes from Victoria Street West to Kingsland shops, a short walk to Eden Park.


Rugby fans heading to the game should allow plenty of time for their journey to Eden Park.
