Spider Day At Zealandia
Spider Day At Zealandia
This Hallowe'en,
ZEALANDIA is giving you the chance to come face-to-face with
some of New Zealand's native spiders (if you dare!)
Te Papa's very own 'Spider Man' Phil Sirvid will be answering your questions about our eight-leged friends and ZEALANDIA staff will be giving visitors a closer look at the secret world of spiders through the lens of a high-powered microscope. Come dressed in costume and you'll get a free Explorer Pack. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed Spider Man (and Woman) at 12 noon!
There is an admission charge to get into ZEALANDIA, but the walks themselves are free. There's no need to book. And best of all, it's FREE for members and under-5s!
ZEALANDIA: The Karori Sanctuary Experience is at the end of Waiapu Road (the first left after Karori Tunnel if you're coming from town). The #3 bus also passes by every 10-15 minutes. For more information call 04 920 9200 or visit www.visitzealandia.com
