City Care Wins Contract In Hamilton

City Care and Hamilton City Council have celebrated the successful start of a new streets landscape maintenance services contract.

The contract, City Care’s first in Hamilton, started on 19 October and has been awarded for an initial three year period. Contract works cover roadside turf mowing and street garden maintenance throughout Hamilton city.

As a result of the contract win, City Care has established a new operational base in Hamilton, employing an additional nine staff on the contract.

“Hamilton City Council is pleased to have the opportunity to work with City Care given its experience in this type of work and the solid relationships the company has built with other local authorities around the country,” says Chris Allen, Hamilton City Council General Manager Works and Services.

Mr Allen says there was a lot of interest in the contract and City Care was chosen over other candidates using a selection process that considered both the price and quality of their offer.

City Care holds similar streetscapes, parks and reserves maintenance contracts with Christchurch City Council, North Shore City Council, Rodney District Council, Tauranga City Council and Whakatane District Council.
