Erebus Memorial service at Nelson Cathedral
Erebus Memorial service at Nelson Cathedral.
The thirtieth anniversary of the Erebus disaster will be marked with a memorial gathering at Nelson Cathedral on Saturday.
Dean Charles Tyrrell says the short ceremony at 3pm will be a time for meditation, remembrance and reflection.
“Everyone is welcome to come to the service,” the Dean said. “People can light a candle in memory of those who died and for families still grieving.”
The Erebus memorial service is at Nelson Cathedral, this Saturday, November 28, at 3pm.
