Walk the red carpet at Ellerslie

Like your favourites celebrities, you could be stepping out on the red carpet at next year’s Ellerslie International Flower Show Premier Garden Party.

The public are being invited to experience the glitz and glamour of the Premier Garden Party, which is being hailed as the new season’s hottest social event.

“The glamorous Ellerslie Premier Garden Party is when the public get to walk the red carpet like their favourite celebrities, toast the success of the Show with a couple of glasses of bubbly and be part of the prestigious awards ceremony which celebrates the opening of the Ellerslie International Flower Show,” says Show Managing Director Dave Mee.

“Ellerslie is New Zealand’s most prestigious garden party and the Premier Garden Party is the one opportunity to be first to see the show-stopping exhibition gardens – without the crowds – while mixing and mingling with the award-winning designers.”

He says guests get to wander about the Show and meet with the designers while enjoying canapés and light entertainment.

“Tickets to the Premier Garden Party are the perfect gift for family and friends this Christmas. Tickets are $125 each for three hours of flowers, fashion and fun and are available from the website www.ellerslieflowershow.co.nz, Ticketek and Countdown supermarkets.

“However, people need to be quick as ticket numbers are limited,” Mr Mee says.

The Premier Garden Party is a charity event, being an official Ellerslie fundraiser for the Cancer Society.

The Ellerslie International Flower Show Premier Garden Party is on Tuesday 9 March 2010 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm.
