Westpac Helicopter Transports Patient from Marlborough Sounds
The Wellington Based Westpac Rescue Helicopter transported a 47yr old male from Clova Bay in the Marlborough Sounds today at 8:30am 25 Feb 10.
The Helicopter responded with a Wellington Free Ambulance Helicopter Paramedic onboard.
The patient had been walk down a ramp at his house when he slipped and fell injuring his ankle.
The Helicopter was able to land in a paddock next to the house where the patient was.
The patient was then flown to Wellington Hospital Emergency Department where he is being assessed and treated for his injuries.
