Bus Driver Goes The Extra Mile
Bus Driver Goes The Extra
Mile

Go Bus driver Yvonne Kuiper has been going the extra mile for Tauranga passengers for only a few months – but now she has an award for her outstanding customer service.
Yvonne was presented with Environment Bay of Plenty’s autumn ‘Driver of the Season’ award today in recognition of the way she makes passengers’ journeys happier. As well as a certificate, she also received a $50 supermarket voucher so she can celebrate in style.
Environment Bay of Plenty Transport Policy Manager Garry Maloney said Yvonne’s name had regularly come up in recommendations from passengers and she was an example to other drivers.
Go Bus Tauranga operations manager Ashley Burton said while Yvonne had only been working for the company since December, she had many years’ of experience as a driver and was used to train new drivers. Both her driving skills and her high customer service standards were outstanding.
Bus passengers with any feedback – including praise – for drivers can call Baybus on 0800 422928.
