Some Christchurch Accommodation Still Available For Bledisloe
While Saturday's Bledisloe
Cup game has AMI Stadium nearly at capacity, you can still
get a bed for the night, Christchurch accommodation
providers say.
While most central city hotels are booked
out for the weekend, rooms are still available in a few
hotels and in some of Christchurch's motels, B&Bs, and
holiday parks.
Christchurch & Canterbury Tourism chief executive Christine Prince says, “The excitement for the game is building and we are anticipating a sell-out weekend for the city and urging fans to get in quickly.”
"This eagerly anticipated All Blacks clash against the Wallabies has certainly attracted many visitors to the city for the weekend and a lot of the hotels in the central business district are booked out, but there are still some beds available for those who want to come to Christchurch and get a dose of test fever,'' says Rahul Rai, of the Hotel Council.
"We can't guarantee them seats in the stadium but we can guarantee them a bed for the night so they can still enjoy the buzz that comes with hosting a Bledisloe Cup match.''
Staff at Christchurch’s i-SITE Visitor Centre in Cathedral Square are available to help visitors with their accommodation arrangements for this weekend.
