Does Wanganui Have Talent?

Does Wanganui Have Talent?

This year in September Wanganui’s first ever, Wanganui’s Got Talent will be in full force. The idea is not to turn them into super stars, but to help lead them in the right direction of their career choices in the “entertainment” industry.

Daniel Harding, who has been singing since he was a child and also founder of WGT said that this is a good chance to show the rest of the nation what Wanganui has on offer in the way of TALENT! Recently with everything that has happened in Wanganui it’s about time we get some positivity back in to our city!

The competition is for everyone with the district of Wanganui who has a talent. It doesn’t matter what that talent is as long as it’s good. The only rule that we have in place is that it must be “G” rated as the show will be a family show!

There will be a couple of auditions held throughout Wanganui with the final taking place in October. The first audition date will be the 18th of September at 11am sharp at Majestic Square in Wanganui.

The prize package has yet to be confirmed but so far Mark Brimblecombe has confirmed that he will be lending his photography services to the winner and he will be putting together a portfolio to help with the winners career.

Cleopatra’s will be doing a mini make over prior to the photo shoot.

The winner will also receive a website which will be maintained for 3 months by Wanganui’s Got Talent.

Wanganui’s Got Talent is looking at a cash prize but is still looking for sponsors. Anyone that would like to sponsor this amazing venture please contact Daniel at wanganuisgottalent@musician.org.

All proceeds from Wanganui’s Got Talent will go to the Wanganui City Mission.
