Banks Sends Support to Christchurch
Auckland City Mayor John Banks has offered the City of Christchurch any support and assistance that is needed following the earthquake that struck this morning.
Mayor Banks has spoken with Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker and offered to send expert help if it is required
“No major city is exempt from a natural disaster or this type of act of God.
“I have told Mayor Parker that we are all in this together and Auckland is ready and willing to help if and when we are needed.
“The people of Christchurch can rest assured they won’t be facing this tragedy alone, we are all thinking of them.”
