Stephanie Lambert: Upper Hutt Regional Council

Stephanie Lambert -Candidate For Upper Hutt For Regional Council

Stephanie Lambert, Upper Hutt resident, Petone Borough Councillor 1980s; Wellington Regional Councillor 1990s. Justice of the Peace, Marriage Celebrant; business operator for 20 years.

I want to be elected as Upper Hutt City Regional Councillor because I believe it is time for a fresh approach. Frequent communication at community and local Council level is vital. I want to assist and advocate for Upper Hutt residents. I would hold regular meetings to listen to and assist residents where possible.

A major issue at present is public transport. As a train user I understand and share the continuing frustrations with lack of service and accountability; much will be remedied by new rolling stock, but the need to communicate with passengers on timeliness of service remains paramount.

You fund the Regional Council and need to know how and where your money is spent to the benefit of our city.
