Fireworks Will Go With A Bang At New Venue
Papakura’s Annual Fireworks Will Go With A Bang At New
Venue
A clown show and an exploding toilet will kick off the 2010 Papakura Fireworks display on November 5.
The fireworks evening, long a family favourite in Papakura, moves to a new temporary venue at Mansell Field for 2010 to allow the upgrade of Massey Park to continue on schedule.
Gates open at 6.30 pm on one of the cheapest family Guy Fawkes nights in the Auckland region: admission is $5.00 per person or $10 per family of two adults and up to six children.
There will be Funco rides, food stalls and entertainment from local community groups, including the Aitutaki Enua dance and music group. The evening will also feature the Papakura Jump Jam competition.
Entertainment starts at 7.00 pm, with the fireworks beginning around 9.00 pm - as soon as darkness falls.
Mansell Field is accessed
off Marne Road and Onslow Road. Road closures will be in
place in the area of Marne Road closest to Mansell Field
from Arawa to Onslow Road intersections, and also in Onslow
Road
extension.
