MOMENTUM is the latest work from Tel Aviv–based theatrical company Mayumana who come to Australia direct from Broadway after making their U.S. debut. This funky international troupe opens at Auckland’s The Civic, The Edge on 21 June for 8 shows only before touring to Wellington.

Boasting an outstanding international cast, this unique theatrical experience includes exuberant dance moves, stunning set designs, cutting-edge theatrical technologies, exciting physical feats and driving live music as these super- talented artists play not only amongst themselves, but also with the audience, guaranteeing a totally unique experience every night.

With technologies developed specifically for MOMENTUM, an ever-changing experience is produced through dialogue between sophisticated systems, simple effects, the wild imagination of the creators and the virtuosic talent of the performers. Trigger activated sound and light effects, light sensors that activate sounds systems, live sampling and synchronised video segments, live 3-D depth-sensing technology, touch screen technology – all combine to create this fiery, colourful feast.
