Governor-General visits Wairarapa
The Governor-General, Sir Anand Satyanand and Lady Susan Satyanand will begin a four day visit to the Wairarapa from Tuesday (22 February) next week.
While they visited the area before, this is Sir Anand and Lady Susan’s most extensive visit to the Wairarapa, which will start with a formal welcome at Pāpāwai Marae near Greytown. Their four-day visit will include visits to Kuranui College, Mt Bruce Wildlife Centre, and Fonterra Pahiatua. Sir Anand will also officially open the Scandinavian Festival in Dannevirke.
