No major structural damage was recorded at Peppers Clearwater Resort in Christchurch. No one was injured.
There are 105 guests and nine operational staff at the property.
Peppers Clearwater Resort is currently operating on emergency electricity and water supplies. Email and phone communication is limited so all phone enquiries should be directed to Peppers Bluewater Resort on 0011 64 3680 7110 (+ 64 3680 7110 if calling from outside of Australia.). Travel agents or wholesalers with booking enquiries should direct their query to Peppers trade-reservations department in Australia on phone + 61 7 5665 4133.
Peppers is contacting guests with forward bookings and are helping these people make new travel arrangements. The Christchurch Airport is closed.
All staff at the resort have contacted their family to advise they are safe. Working phones have available at the property for guests to contact their loved ones.
