Paymark EFTPOS Christchurch Earthquake Update
Wednesday 23 February 2010
Paymark would like to advise that the delays with communication networks that affected EFTPOS services around the country yesterday have been resolved, and that the network infrastructure is fully operable. In Christchurch this is subject to obvious power and equipment issues.
Paymark is committed to helping Christchurch retailers in any way possible and is working both internally and with partners to provide support where needed. Initially this is through the provision of mobile EFTPOS terminals for retailers unable to connect to the network, or operating from temporary premises. Further support will be outlined in the coming days as Paymark determines the most effective ways to assist.
