Hunters helping out with Christchurch Earthquake relief
Warkworth owned and operated company GAMEGEAR is helping out fellow hunters and fishermen in the Canterbury Region by donating 10% of all its internet sales through its website to help with Earthquake relief.
“The hunting community in New Zealand is a very close knit group, and us guys and girls up North want to help our mates out down South” says GAMEGEAR owner Joel Dickson.” We understand the events over the last few days have changed the lives of many in the region, and while it will be hard to erase the memories of these catastrophic events, we want to help reinstate some kind of normality to these people.”
10 percent of all sales from the GAMEGEAR website www.gamegear.co.nz, from 23 February 2011 until 6 March 2011 will be donated to the cause. ”We will be working closely with Ross Millichamp and his team at Fish and Game North Canterbury to find out the best way to spend the money raised. As is typical of many people from the South Island, the outdoors is a popular place to spend their spare time, and the people of Canterbury are no different. Our thoughts go out to all people in the region, especially those who have lost loved ones.”
