Updated list of priority needs
Pipitea Marae continues to be inundated with people dropping off goods and other necessary items intended for whānau still dealing with the fallout of the Christchurch quake.
An updated list of items is now being called for. These items include:
-Tools
-Water
-Tinned baby food
-Nappies, wipes, tampons
-Rubbish bags
-Shovels
-Packing tape, vivid markers
-Children’s toys
A container load of provisions is already packed and will be picked up by Kiwi Rail later this afternoon.
As per previous communiqué Pipitea Marae will be open through to 7pm this evening receiving donated goods. The marae will reopen tomorrow and Sunday from 9am to 7pm.
Pipitea Marae is located at 53 Thorndon Quay (opposite Gateway Centre).
