Taps On At 8am Monday For Englefield Mobile Shower Unit

The Englefield mobile shower unit bringing long-awaited hot showers to Cantabrians will turn on its taps at 8am tomorrow. (Monday 7 March).

Further details are:
* Location: Cnr Cresswell Ave (Challenge service station end) and New Brighton Road (near Burwood Park). Subsequent locations will be advised.
* When: Starts 8am, Monday 07 March
* Security will be in place 24/7
* Supplies of shampoo and other showering products available, donated by USANA Health Sciences, Colgate-Palmolive and Maungawhau Primary School in Mt Eden.
* People need to bring their own towel
* Water is not to be drunk
* Sponsored by Kohler, who sent the Englefield Mobile Shower unit down from Auckland over the weekend
* Fliway Transport, the Interislander and Strait Freight donated transport
* Transdiesel provided a generator and support crew while Contact Energy is donating the LPG re-fuelling.
* The unit will be fully serviced by a crew from the Christchurch Engine Centre
