Vehicle protest against WELLYWOOD sign
Vehicle protest against WELLYWOOD sign
A protest is
being organised to "hit Wellington Airport where it hurts",
to illustrate the public’s anger at the proposed Wellywood
sign that will be erected near the Mirimar Cutting by
Wellington International Airport.
Protest
organiser Andy Boreham wants as many people against the sign
as possible, "especially if you own a car", to attend the
protest between 6 and 7pm on Monday 23 May.
"We’ll be meeting beforehand, and rallying the troops for the slow driving blockade that will loop around Wellington airport for an hour between 6 and 7pm," Andy says. "This is a last resort considering Wellington Airport are not listening to public concern about the sign".
Anyone keen on helping the protest is asked to join the Facebook event here:
