Tuesday 14 June: Westfield Riccarton Update
Westfield New Zealand anticipates reopening Westfield Riccarton from 11.30am today - Tuesday 14 June 2011.
Mr Justin Lynch, Director, Westfield New Zealand said: "We wish to reassure shoppers Westfield has undertaken an extensive review of the shopping centre building.
We confirm Westfield Riccarton has been deemed structurally sound and ready for retailers and shoppers to occupy. The building has been designed to withstand such aftershocks which has allowed us to open as soon as these checks were completed.
We acknowledge the resilience of our retailers and our own staff as they have worked to reopen the shopping centre."
