Countdown Supermarkets – Christchurch Earthquake Update
Countdown Eastgate has been given the all clear to reopen this morning, which means all Countdown Supermarkets affected by the recent series of earthquakes in Christchurch will be open for trade.
Some stores may have adjusted trading hours during the reopening phase and customers are advised to check the Countdown website at www.countdown.co.nz for the latest updates on store hours.
Countdown’s online shopping service has resumed in some suburbs.
Countdown’s supply chain is returning to normal operations with regular deliveries to all stores across Christchurch and the South Island. There may be limited availability of some products for a short period of time as more consistent supplies resume.
Countdown The Palms and Ferrymead remain closed as a result of the earthquake on February 22.
All Progressive Enterprises franchise stores, SuperValue & Fresh Choice, affected by the recent earthquakes have now reopened.
