Volunteer Awareness Week
Volunteer Awareness Week
This national week, which runs from 19th to 25th June has the theme 'Volunteering - every minute counts'.
Volunteering Canterbury is pleased to announce that they are fully operational again after losing their premises in the 22 February earthquake.
Manager
Ruth Gardner says: "We now have a new office in Room One at
277 Barbadoes Street. This is on the corner of Worcester
Street, in the central city and Volunteering Canterbury is
committed to being part of the central city recovery. The
official opening of the new office will be on Wednesday 22
June at 3pm, and people are welcome to join us for this
event. We will also hold a public meeting on Tuesday 21
June, where Australian volunteering guru Martin J Cowling
will speak on 'Christchurch Volunteering - where to from
here?' This will be at 2pm at the Christchurch Netball
Centre. Our website at www.volcan.org.nz
