Honorary life membership presented.

The Ashburton Art Gallery Inc held their 27th Annual General Meeting on

Thursday 15th September 2011. President Bernard Davidson opened and chaired the meeting and reported on the past 12 months. This report was then followed by Shirin Khosraviani's Manager/Curator report, which covered matters financial and highlighted various exhibitions and events.

Patron Richard Conway was invited to take the chair for the election of officers. Bernard Davidson was elected President and Anne Carr was elected Vice-President who along with Derek Binnie, and Jenny Gill formed the Gallery Executive Sub-Committee.

The elected Committee are as follows: Sarndra Read, Robert Begg, Derek Binnie, Alison Curwood, Jenny Gill, Elizabeth Ferguson, Claire Robertshaw, Joan Wilkinson, Pauline Mead, Michael Armstrong, Pamela Burdett, Margaret Digby, Lucy Sharp, Linda Petrie, and Jenny Owens.

The Committee then proudly presented Joan Wilkinson with an Honorary Life

Membership. Mrs. Wilkinson joined the Gallery in 1995 and is known for her passion, exuberance, community spirit, and relentless support for the arts. Mrs. Wilkinson was gifted a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a Life Membership

Certificate.
