Greytown Rugby Festival: Bring
Your Boots!
Zac Guildford’s hometown rugby club is hosting the Greytown Rugby Festival this weekend and organisers are inviting locals and visitors to bring their boots and join in.
Entry is free and players who want to have a go in the friendly – married vs singles – game on Saturday are more than welcome.
The festival includes a sevens tournament for primary school players on Friday; married vs singles game on Saturday and Golden Oldies game on Sunday. Hangi is available on Saturday and roast on Sunday.
The club has put up a big screen to watch this weekend RWC games and there will be plenty of local support for the All Blacks and winger Zac as the ABs take on Argentina on Sunday.
Greytown Rugby Club was established in 1877 and this year boasts All Black Zac Guildford as well as Black Fern Shakira Baker – both Greytown locals who also hail from Papawai Marae.
