Lotto Strike & Bullseye Winners Having A Ball

Media Release 15 October 2011

Lotto Strike & Bullseye Winners Having A Ball On Semi-Finals Weekend

As we reach the business end of the rugby, there’ll be two winners in Lower Hutt and Wellington who will be having a ball no matter what the results, thanks to a $322,144 windfall each with Lotto Strike this evening, says NZ Lotteries’ Chief Executive Todd McLeay.

“While most of the country will be focussed on what is happening on the field in Auckland this weekend, these winners will be having a field day when they realise what they’ve won,” says Mr McLeay.

The winning Lotto Strike tickets were sold at Mac's Photo & Lotto in Wellington and Pak N Save Petone in Lower Hutt.

Powerball First Division has jackpotted to double figures tonight so will be worth an estimated $11 million next week. Lotto also jackpotted meaning there’ll be an additional $2 million up for grabs next draw too.

In other big news, a Bullseye Must Be Won draw meant that with no First Division winners, one Second Division winner won $410,001.

The Bullseye First Division prize had been jackpotting since 16 August 2011, and reached its maximum prize level of $400,001 last night.

In a Must Be Won draw, if First Division is not won, the prize is added to the next highest division where there are winners – in this case, that was the Second Division.

The winning ticket was sold at the Countdown Greenlane in Auckland.

Meanwhile, Wendy Cherry spun and won $200,000 for her Tauranga work syndicate of 10 on the Winning Wheel in Wellington tonight.
