“Eat Drink And Be Crafty”
The “Eat Drink and be Crafty” fair is set to become one of the premier social daytime events on the Wellington region must do calendar. It is being held on Saturday 28th January 2012 at Battle Hill Regional Park, Paekakariki Hill Road.
It is a Charity event with the proceeds designated to go to the “Life Flight Trust”. It is also a high class craft event with an expected 150 stalls selling a range of locally, hand made Beer Wine Food and Crafts. The Fair is a family day with a childrens programme of events featuring such evergreen contests as three legged races, sack races etc. A Junior cross country of 4 kilometres is also being organised. There will be something for everyone.
The event was first run in January of this year by two enterprising young women who decided to create an event that would rival any craft fair currently on offer. It exceeded all their expectations when rather than 100's turned up...1000's enjoyed the day.
Since then the organisers have partnered with the Mana Lions Club to increase manpower and improve parking and crowd control.
This is a Charity event and the organisers are proud to have The Breeze Radio station involved along with several local businesses and organisations providing sponsorship.
There is still space available for any
budding craft people wishing to display ther wares.
