NZTA re-opens section of SH1 in Northland after flooding
The NZ Transport Agency says a section of State Highway 1 at Rangiahau Bridge between Kaitaia and Ohaeawai in Northland has been re-opened after being closed for several hours by surface flooding.
The NZTA and its contractors were able to avoid closing a section of SH10 near Kaeo after a high tide earlier today threatened to aggravate surface flooding near the community.
Surface flooding on many sections of the state highway network in Northland continue to make driving conditions difficult and the NZTA says people should drive to the conditions and allow more time for their journeys.
