Following the further aftershock at 3.20pm, power was again tripped to the Eastern Suburbs of Christchurch.
As at 6.00pm, the power to the Dallington area has been restored but there remains about 13,000 customers without power mainly in the Brighton area of Eastern Christchurch. This is down from the 26,000 customers without power in the Eastern Suburbs immediately following the aftershock.
We ask residents to prepare for intermittent power supply over the next few days.
