Resurfacing work
this Sunday at State Highway 29 near the Oropi and Poike
Roundabouts
NZ Transport Agency advises motorists travelling on State Highway 29 (SH29) between the Poike Roundabout and the Oropi Roundabout to expect delays of up to 5 minutes while resurfacing activity takes place this Sunday 4 March.
Traffic Management Control and a speed restriction will be place whilst the resurfacing work is being undertaken.
The resurfacing work will start at 7.00am and is scheduled to be completed by 4.00pm that same day.
The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) advises motorists to take care and adhere to the speed restriction in place.
Bay of Plenty State Highway Manager, Brett Gliddon says variable message boards will be displayed to provide motorists with advanced warning of the works ahead.
This work is weather dependant, and if it is wet this closure will be moved to the next available fine day.
The NZTA thanks motorists for their patience and cooperation during these planned annual maintenance works.
