NZTA says fatal SH1 crash causing delays
The NZ Transport Agency says drivers should either delay their travel or allow more time for their trip after a fatal crash this morning closed all southbound lanes of Auckland’s Northern Motorway (State Highway 1) just north of the Oteha Valley Road interchange.
Drivers heading to Auckland are being diverted from the Silverdale interchange at Orewa on to State Highway 17.
The NZTA says it is not expected to have the motorway re-opened for another two or three hours.
The northbound lanes of the motorway are not affected by the crash.
