Keep up to date with what is happening at the Gorge
The NZ Transport agency (NZTA) have set up a new webpage for those wanting to keep up to date with the latest on the Waioeka Gorge closure near Gisborne.
Acting Bay of Plenty state highway manager, Andrew Scott says the www.nzta.govt.nz/waioeka-gorge webpage was set up so the general public and in particular those affected by the closure can get the most up to date information on what is happening on site.
The webpage will include images from the Gorge, project updates and media releases.
"We appreciate that the closure is having an impact on a lot of people, particularly to businesses, we want to assure everyone that we are doing everything possible to get the road re-opened quickly and this way they will know what we are doing each day to achieve that," says Mr Scott.
Mr Scott says a project update will be available from the www.nzta.govt.nz/waioeka-gorge webpage.
People wanting to ask questions, or to talk with members of the project team can also now send these enquiries to waioekagorge@nzta.govt.nz, says Mr Scott.
