Mackenzie Construction Involved In Historical
Hauraki Rail
Trail
Thames-based
Mackenzie Construction has been involved in the development
of the historical Hauraki Rail Trail, due for completion in
March 2012.
The
project commenced in November 2011 and has been a key
project for Mackenzie
Construction.
“This
exciting new historical project has been a real privilege to
be part of and each of the 18 bridges we have contributed to
are very impressive structures and have brought many
challenges to ourselves in conjunction with our main
contractor, Walkways Solutions,” said company owner Troy
MacKenzie.
The
trial is set to open in May and will bring many tourists and
locals alike travelling on their bikes between Thames,
Paeroa, Waihi and Te
Aroha.
Mackenzie
Construction is looking to become the most recognised name
among builders and construction companies servicing the
Thames and Coromandel
areas.
“Our major
business goal is to become the most recognised building and
construction specialist in the Thames and Coromandel
areas,” says Troy
MacKenzie.
“We
have been working hard to build a strong client base, top
reputation and gaining respect in the building industry,”
MacKenzie
said.
“We have
plans to expand further and as the need arises to take on
more staff once the industry bounces back,” he says.
“The new housing market is definitely one key area we are
hoping to focus
on.”
“Longer
term in five years time we would like to be successful, have
a third vehicle on the road and be furthering our potential
to construct our own houses to sell,” MacKenzie
said.
Mackenzie
Construction began operations as a partnership in October
2009 and as a limited company in June,
2010.

residential houses as well as all types of building works to
cater for all of our current and future

Troy
MacKenzie is the owner, director and site supervisor and has
11 years construction experience. “I provide reliable and
friendly service for my clients and work is carried out
efficiently and of the highest

Scott
MacKenzie is the company foreman and has seven years
experience in the construction industry. He is renowned for
his eye for detail and top on-site decision
making.
Richard
Harden is a carpenter with seven years experience in the
construction industry. He has a good attitude and very hard
working as well as having high expectations for productive
building.

Construction also has a third man is his last year of his
apprentership and a second year apprentice to keep up with
high demanding work
load.

Association Of New Zealand as well as being Licensed
Building Practitioners to a high site 2 level which allows
