ALERT: Don't Miss Duck Hunters Day!
Eastern Region
Fish & Game is holding a Duck Hunter’s Day on
Sunday April 22nd 2012, at the Gun Dog Club grounds –
20kms south-west of Rotorua on SH 30, Rotorua –
Tokoroa highway.
The free Day which will run from about 10am to 2.30pm is focused on demonstrations with realistic hunting scenarios. It is aimed at everyone from one-season novices to veteran hunters.
Organiser Fish & Game Officer John Meikle says the aim is a fun day covering important topics from maimai preparation and setting out decoys, to gun fitting and ‘patterning,’ and dog retrieving.
Media are invited to send a reporter and/or photographer. The Day will provide plenty of photo opportunities from retriever dogs in action and face painting demonstrations to the latest in camo gear and the winner of a youth competition.
