NZ Bus Driver Fatality
NZ Bus Driver Fatality
It is with great sadness that we confirm that one of our Valley Flyer drivers has suffered fatal injuries in an incident at our Waterloo base in Lower Hutt last night.
“This is a tragic incident which has deeply impacted the NZ Bus and Valley Flyer family. Our first priority is to support the family of the victim and the staff at Valley Flyer, who are understandably very upset over the news” says Zane Fulljames – CEO NZ Bus.
“The Waterloo base has been cordoned off by police, and we are assisting with investigations. This has affected our ability to get buses on the road, and we have given our drivers the option to stay home today as they each deal with the event. Accordingly, some services in the Hutt Valley may be affected” Mr Fulljames continues.
