Wiremu Walmsley to Head Lifeline Aotearoa Suicide Prevention Education.
Wiremu Walmsley, previously manager for Raukura Hauora O Tainui in Counties Manukau, has joined Lifeline Aotearoa to head the organisation’s suicide prevention education division.
Wiremu has tremendous experience in the mental health, drug and addiction fields and is a well-known advocate for Maori health and well-being.
“We are delighted to have a person of Wiremu’s passion, knowledge and commitment on board,” says Lifeline Aotearoa Chief Executive, Jo Denvir. “Under Wiremu’s leadership we look forward to working more widely within the community as we work to reduce the incidence of suicide within Aotearoa.”
