Transmission Gully Decision Wonderful
News
Final approval from the Environmental Protection Authority for Transmission Gully is wonderful news for the Wellington region according to the Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce.
“The Chamber has been a major proponent of Transmission Gully right from the outset and today’s decision is a significant milestone,” said Chamber President Richard Stone.
“Transmission Gully is a strategically important route both nationally and regionally. As well as easing peak-hour congestion and saving time on the commute to Wellington, it will bring the region closer together and improve linkages between the Hutt and the coast.
“Wellington businesses will be delighted at this news and we look forward to construction commencing,” Mr Stone concluded.
