September 28, 2012
For Immediate Release
The Christchurch Central Development Unit (CCDU) and the Christchurch City Council (CCC) will soon be issuing a Request For Information (RFI) for the city’s Convention Centre Precinct, CCDU director Warwick Isaacs and CCC chief executive Tony Marryatt said today.
The RFI is expected to be released on the New Zealand Government Electronic Tenders Service (www.gets.govt.nz) by no later than October 17, 2012.
The Convention Centre Precinct is a key component of the Blueprint Plan in the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan launched on July 30, 2012.
Both Mr Isaacs and Mr Marryatt say they are expecting significant interest in the Convention Centre Precinct project in New Zealand and internationally.
The release of the RFI will follow last week's call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from design, cost control and project management professionals interested in the Avon River Precinct, the North Frame and a portion of the East Frame.
