2012 Bayfair Shopping Centre retail champion

Media Release October 2012

NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR
BAYFAIR CUSTOMER SERVICE CHAMPION

A shopping centre serves as a place of social purpose; a hub that serves the needs of the local community and provides consistent and good customer service…a place that can be relied on.

This month, Bayfair Shopping Centre is giving customers a voice by holding its second annual Customer Service Champion awards and rewarding not only outstanding retail staff, but also the shoppers who nominate them.

Bayfair is calling on the local community to tell them about a recent account of great customer service received at any retailer located within the centre. The centre was inspired to first run the competition so shoppers could share their stories of great customer service and help their favourite retail assistant obtain the glory of being crowned a champion.

To nominate an outstanding retailer at Bayfair for the award, shoppers can complete a form available from the Information Desk or submit their comments on the ‘contact us’ section of www.bayfair.co.nz. Shoppers who submit a nomination will go in the draw to win a $500 Bayfair gift card.

Once nominations come to a close on Thursday 25 September, a panel of retail managers will select stories which illustrate exceptional service and 10 finalists will be announced. An anonymous and professional mystery shopper will then visit the 10 finalists’ stores on one of their rostered days thereafter, to assess their calibre of customer service and determine the winner.
