Road closed following crash at
SH2 and SH25 near Ngatea/Maramarua - diversions in
place
The NZ Transport Agency (NZTA) advises that the road is closed at the intersection of State Highway 2 and State Highway 25 near Ngatea, following a crash between a car and a truck earlier this afternoon.
The following short detours are in place:
• Southbound traffic
on SH2 should instead travel down SH25 towards Tauranga,
turn left into Canal Rd then right onto SH2 towards
Matamata.
• Northbound traffic on SH2 should
turn off SH2 by turning right into Canal road onto
SH25.
• Northbound traffic on SH27 should turn
right onto SH2, then travel up Canal Rd, before turning
right on to SH25.
Highway Network Operations Manager, Karen Boyt, says the road will be reopened once Police investigations at the scene of the crash are completed.
“We would like to thank motorists for their patience around this and encourage them to take note of the traffic controls in place and follow the detour signs at each point.”
