Power Restored to Napier and Hastings
Tuesday 18 December 2012 1pm - Local electricity distribution company, Unison Networks’ Ltd has restored power to customers in Napier and Hastings following a transmission outage that caused widespread power cuts across Hawke’s Bay.
Unison managed lines company, Centralines, has also been affected by the Transpower fault, and Unison is still working to progressively restore supply to Central Hawke’s Bay.
At 9:55am this morning, Transpower, the National Grid operator, experienced a transmission outage due to a major transformer fault at Redclyffe substation.
